Would It Cost You More Than A BACKUP SOLUTION?

We don’t want to scare you, BUT we have seen a huge spike in ransomware viruses in our customer base!

You may have a firewall, and anti-virus in place, and that is a VERY important part of your company’s security, BUT you need more. There are two other very important pieces to the security puzzle needed to keep you safe.

YOU MUST: Have a current Backup & Constantly do Employee training

Backup: You must have a backup. Your backup may be the only thing you have if disaster strikes. Whether the disaster is a virus, human error, hardware failure, or a true natural disaster. There are many different types of back up solutions for all needs and budgets.

Training: Employees need to be reminded and educated on current threats. This malware can be contracted many different ways.Email attachments or links, malware infected web ads, etc. Cyber criminals know the user is the weak link in your security, that is why they go after them. You need to offer continuing education, and promote constant awareness.

Real Life RMON Success Story:

A NH based customer recently contracted a dynamic ransomware virus received through an email that contained attachment of resume. It ran through their computer systems encrypting files. We were able to immediately contain the situation by completely wiping the hard drives knowing we could begin restoring their systems utilizing the prior night’s image based backup. They were back up and running within a few hours.

If you do not have a backup and contract this virus, you will have no choice but to pay the bitcoin. Amounts will vary, and you can never be guaranteed to get your data back.
