Services / Managed IT

Your whole IT department, handled.

All-inclusive managed IT for New Hampshire, southern Maine, and eastern Massachusetts businesses. Monitoring, help desk, security, and strategy, run by people who answer when you call.

  • One flat monthly fee
  • Unlimited support in-plan
  • 24/7 monitoring available
  • Owner-led since 2002

Managed IT is RMON running your technology for a predictable monthly fee instead of you handling it in-house or calling for help only when something breaks. It bundles 24/7 monitoring, an unlimited help desk, patching, security, backup, and IT strategy into one plan, so your systems are watched before they break and there is a real person to call when you need help.

When IT is nobody's job

Most small and mid-size businesses do not have an IT problem. They have an ownership problem: no one is squarely responsible for keeping things running, secure, and planned for. That gap stays invisible until the day it is not.

One team, the whole stack

With managed IT, RMON becomes your IT department. We watch your systems around the clock, keep them patched and secure, answer the phone when your team needs help, and sit down with you to plan what comes next. One team owns all of it, so nothing falls through the cracks between vendors.

  • Watched before it breaks, not fixed after.
  • Security is not an add-on here; it is how we design every plan, with identity and backup built in.
  • One predictable bill, and a team that knows your network.

What a full RMON plan covers

Plans are tailored; your agreement lists exactly what is included. These are the components most clients choose, with no per-ticket charges for day-to-day support.

24/7 monitoring & alerting

Servers, endpoints, and network watched around the clock, so trouble is caught early.

Unlimited help desk

A real person answers and opens a ticket; the assigned technician calls back, usually within a few minutes.

Patching & updates

Operating systems and software kept current, closing the gaps attackers look for.

Endpoint security & EDR

Managed antivirus and endpoint detection on every device, watched by our team.

Identity & access

MFA and single sign-on done right, built on Microsoft Entra ID, with layered privileged-access controls behind it.

Email & Microsoft 365

Day-to-day management and security of Microsoft 365, Azure, and your email.

Backup & disaster recovery

Tested, recoverable backups, built so that ransomware or a dead drive is a recovery job, not a catastrophe.

Network & firewall management

Firewalls, switching, and wireless kept configured, updated, and monitored.

Asset & license tracking

A live inventory of what you own and what is licensed, so nothing ages out unseen.

Onboarding & offboarding

New hires set up and departing staff de-provisioned cleanly, a quiet security win.

vCIO & IT strategy

Roadmaps, budgets, and compliance guidance, aligned to where your business is headed.

Vendor management

We deal with your internet, software, and hardware vendors so your team does not have to.

How all-inclusive works

One predictable monthly fee covers the day-to-day. Projects, after-hours onsite work, and add-ons are scoped and quoted up front, never surprise-billed, so routine support never competes with project work for our attention.

In your plan
  • Unlimited day-to-day support and help desk
  • Monitoring, patching, and security
  • Backup, identity, and Microsoft 365 management
  • Ongoing IT strategy and vCIO time
Scoped & quoted
  • Server and cloud migrations
  • Office moves and new-site buildouts
  • Major hardware refreshes and rollouts
  • After-hours onsite work and plan add-ons
  • Large one-off projects

Because the support side is not billed per ticket, our advice points the same direction as your interest: fewer problems, not more hours.

Case study: New Hampshire engineering & manufacturing firm

From firefighting IT to five hours a week back

A New Hampshire engineering and manufacturing firm was losing an engineer’s time to IT that never quite worked: up to five hours every week spent nursing systems instead of doing the work the business is paid for, on top of the overhead of keeping it all limping along.

RMON took the whole environment on: monitored it, secured it, and made the day-to-day someone else’s job. The firefighting stopped. The engineer got the time back, and the business stopped paying to keep broken things running.

up to 5 hrs/weekof engineering time returned
~$1,700/moin IT overhead saved

“Prior to retaining RMON our cost for IT services was very unpredictable… Since we have contracted with RMON we have experienced a very stable cost for services.”

Common questions about managed IT

What is included in managed IT?
Day-to-day support and help desk, 24/7 monitoring, patching, endpoint and email security, identity, backup and disaster recovery, network and firewall management, asset tracking, onboarding and offboarding, and ongoing IT strategy, all for one flat monthly fee. Large projects like migrations are scoped separately.
How is this different from break-fix IT?
Break-fix means you call only when something is already broken and pay by the hour. Managed IT is proactive: we watch and maintain your systems so most problems are prevented or caught early, for a predictable monthly fee instead of surprise invoices.
What does managed IT cost?
Pricing is a flat monthly fee based on the size of your team and your environment, not per ticket. We start with a conversation so the plan and the price reflect what you actually have. Day-to-day support is unlimited inside the plan.
How fast do you respond when something breaks?
A real person answers right away and opens a ticket. The technician assigned to it calls you back, usually within a few minutes, already up to speed on your setup. Most issues are handled on that callback; anything bigger gets a clear plan and a named owner. Response targets are defined in your service agreement.
Do you support both Windows and Mac?
Yes. We manage and secure Windows and macOS, Microsoft 365 and Azure, and the network gear in between. Whatever your team runs on, it is covered under the same plan.
